The band Slipknot, though only being around for less than fifteen years, has become one of the most controversial bands ever, drawing heat from corporations, other metal fans, and even there own fans! Slipknot has been particularly successful in it's genre, and has been able to garner national attention through only four album releases. The band's DVD release, Disasterpieces, has even gone four-times Platinum in the U.S., and is still selling highly on a month-to-month basis. Slipknot is currently on a large touring rout, and will record their next album very soon. Whether this new material will win them another Grammy has yet to be seen.
