The Doors are one of the most legendary and influential bands American bands. Formed in 1965, and barely lasting eight years, the band nevertheless put out many now-classic records with songs like "Light My Fire" and "Riders on the Storm", American music staples. Though The Doors suffered from many incidents and controversies, including vocalist Jim Morrison's death, in 1993, they were inducted to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. To this day, The Doors sound and melodic, hypnotizing lyrics can be heard influencing modern music.
